Antish displays antlike cellular automata, called ants in this app. Parameters that make up the ants can be selected randomly or controlled using a small preferences screen.
Swiping the screen clears it and starts a new set of ants.
Preferences screen allows control of light angle, dark angle, size, number of ants, and target. Additionally, there is a button to kill ants.
An ant moves around on the screen. When it steps on a light color, it changes direction by the light angle. When it steps on a dark color, it changes direction by the dark angle.
If the target switch is turned on, an ant will go straight when it travels over pixels of its own color. The closer to the target color, the straighter the ant will travel. The target color is half way between the ants light and dark colors. When the target switch is on, each time the ant passes over a pixel, the pixel changes a bit closer to the target color.
With the target switch turned off, ants sometimes get stuck. They can be unstuck by turning this switch on.
